Overview:

Lead Recovery Case Manager role will provide leadership, guidance, and direction to RCM team. The position creates an opportunity to be unified with the RCM’s while demonstrating exemplary case management conduct. It offers to bridge the gap between executive staff and case management, allowing for improved understanding and effectiveness for the department as a whole. 

 

Knowledge:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Extensive experience with 12-Step program
  • At least 1 year in 12-Step recovery (experience working ALL of the 12-Steps)  
  • Sponsorship experience 
 

Skills:

  • Set a positive example for case management team and demonstrate leadership
  • Group coverage
  • Excellent and timely Family and Referral communication 
  • Time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Assist RCM’s in creating and managing the on-call schedule
  • Assist RCM’s in RCM/Buddy assignments
  • Assist RCM’s in creation and management of weekly schedule
  • Available for on-call responsibilities
  • Client intervention for behavioral issues including ASA and non-compliance
  • Participate in aftercare meetings 
  • Weather report on team to RCM’s
  • Training, educating, and assisting RCM’s
  • Excellent charting skills and compliance with timeframe policies in EMR 
  • Uphold the integrity of the culture of GMTC 

 

Abilities:

  • Carry a caseload
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written, electronic, and oral form
  • Ability to make sound decisions and/or find alternative solutions
