Overview:

The purpose of the position of  Licensed Nursing Assistant at Green Mountain Treatment Center to assist Nursing with any and all medical duties within the scope of practice in addition to taking on leadership and administrative duties within the LNA/Detox Specialist Department.  LNA is supervised under Registered Nurses and reports to the Detox Manager.

Knowledge:
  • Successful completion of a New Hampshire State approved Nursing Assistant course or its equivalent
  • Licensed as a Nursing Assistant in the State of New Hampshire
Skills:
  • Proven competency with LNA role 
  • Time management skills 
  • Quick screening and documentation
  • Multi-disciplinary collaboration regarding patient care
  • Organizes and ensures completion of shift task lists 
Abilities:
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Communicating effectively in written and oral form
  • The ability to make decisions and find alternative solutions to problems
  • Assists with Detox administration duties as indicated
  • Promotes a culture of positivity, accountability, communication, and cohesiveness within and across department(s) 
  • Track potential detoxification clients and ensures consistent
  • Perform thorough searches of clients' rooms and belongings and inventories belongings accurately when appropriate
  • Assist RSS in keeping client rooms and the work environment sanitized and free of garbage, used food and potentially hazardous waste, ensure clients have clean clothing and bedding
  • Provide clients with access to fluids, snacks, and meals
  • Provide medical updates to the Team when necessary
  • Responsible for reading shift log at beginning of shift and completing their own shift log and essential tasks contained therein by conclusion of shift
  • Monitors milieu activities and ensures safety
Other Characteristics:
  • Schedule to include 2 weekday shifts and either Saturday or Sunday
  • Routine maintenance and storage of medical supplies and equipment
